There will be an influx of local music Friday night where acoustic duo Quenya featuring Kel Dunshea and Mathew House on guitar will kick off the night, followed by Brown Sugar which will tantalize your ear buds with great rock tunes from the 90’s to today, Manic Sleeper Cell (formally known as Ortizmo) will end the night with their original punk/metal music, all this with free entry.

Hedwig, born a boy named Hansel in East Berlin, fell in love with an American G.I. and underwent a sex-change operation in order to marry him and flee to the West. Unfortunately, nothing worked out quite as it was supposed to – years later, Hedwig is leading her rock band on a tour of the U.S., telling her life story through a series of concerts at Bilgewater Inn seafood restaurants. STORMY WEATHER

Storming back and you’ll be dancing…… Since the soul band ‘Stormy Weather’ last played the Armidale Club have filled a string of engagements: playing twice for a large Trans-Tasman audience, as well as performing on the Mid-north Coast. The music ‘Stormy Weather’ play is classic soul, R&B and Blues. Audiences have been hollering for more and filling the dance floor. With a repertoire culled from the greats, including Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Boz Scaggs and then some, ‘Stormy Weather’ bring their own voice to fabulous tunes. Stormy Weather are Ayjay Bennett – vocals; Steve Leece – drums; Darren Shepherd – guitar & vocals; Garry Warfield – bass & vocals; Bruce Walker – keyboards. The Armidale Waldorf School P&F will be holding a fundraising music trivia night on Saturday. Host of the night will be MC Dinosaurs and with a few surprise acts as well.
